Antique information - Bronze

Bronze is an alloy of copper and tin, which is used predominantly for sculpture of the highest quality, and very limited production runs.

Bronze is the metal of choice for the best art castings. It has the ability to cast very well, with minimum porosity and good detail.

Bronze is more expensive, has a much higher melting point, and is more difficult to cast than spelter or britannia metal. It is, consequently, a lot more expensive to produce art pieces.
